Our Task

To conduct a strategic go-to-market analysis and market research exercise for Level Seven Creative and its Chooboo web package solution.

Background and Results

Having satisfied over 7,000 customers since 2003, Level Seven Creative - using the ‘Chooboo’ brand name - is a provider of professionally-designed and easy-to-manage websites for small businesses.

Operating in the incredibly-crowded market space of low-end packaged web services provision, Level Seven Creative has hitherto taken an indirect route-to-market for its services, using ‘recommenders’ to generate its current levels of business through a lead registration and kick-back scheme. Looking for business growth, the firm wanted to increase its market footprint, either by expanding existing channels or exploiting new ones, and needed to assess its options in the United Kingdom.

Level Seven Creative appointed purechannels to investigate, analyse, compare and recommend various new routes to market, looking at the opportunities and potential return available from each. In addition, purechannels was asked to conduct a detailed competitive analysis, looking at other web service providers that serve the SMB sector to compare their offerings.

Following a time-efficient yet in-depth consultative exercise, purechannels provided Level Seven Creative with a series of substantiated recommendations as to the optimal route-to-market opportunities open to them, enabling Level Seven Creative to minimise its risk and to maximise its returns. purechannels then went on to investigate and verify these findings through both desk research and primary research, a process which not only provided Level Seven Creative with a valuable database of profiled targets, it also uncovered several prospects for new business.
